Description

The National Medical Fellowships Doctors in Clinical Trials Research program (NMF DCTR) trains doctors who are committed to investigating treatment and preventative regimens across all populations. The mission of the NMF DCTR is to increase patient engagement and participation in clinical research and to improve health outcomes by ensuring the safety and efficacy of drug treatments and therapeutics for all intended target populations.

NMF Dctr candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Hold the degree of M.D., M.D./Ph. D., D.O., D.O./Ph. D., or Pharm.D.
  • Are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (LPR) as defined by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. (NOTE: J-1, O-1 & H-1B visa holders are eligible; the visa must be valid during the eight-week investigator certification training program period.)
  • Have an active and unrestricted U.S. medical or pharmacy license*
  • Affirm availability to participate in the full eight-week training program
  • Demonstrated and continuing commitment to serving medically underserved communities
